BVS Numeracy Framework

BVS Numeracy Framework:

  • The Victorian Curriculum sets out what students are expected to learn and is designed as a continuum of learning. The Curriculum is organised by the three strands of Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics and Probability.
  • This is reflected in The Barwon Valley School Numeracy Framework which is structured to develop each student’s ability to use mathematics and numbers in a wide range of situations and understand the roles they play in everyday life. Students should be able to use this knowledge to apply different numerical concepts in order to solve problems and make sense of their world.

We have developed a BVS Scope and Sequence document to ensure that students have exposure to all sub-strands of the curriculum.
